Jackie Sones
Going Under Cover: Camouflage in Coastal California
This talk will highlight amazing adaptations related to camouflage drawing on examples from local coastal species including birds, mammals, fish, and lots of invertebrates! Jackie Sones started working for the University of California’s Bodega Marine Reserve in 2005 and has served as Research Coordinator there for over 20 years.  Many of you might know Jackie through her popular blog, Natural History of Bodega Head (https://bodegahead.blogspot.com/), where she has been sharing photographs and natural history information about flora and fauna in western Sonoma County and other coastal areas for over 14 years.  Although she led birding trips for Mass Audubon for many years, much of Jackie’s time since moving to California has focused on marine invertebrates.
